| European Union - Financial Conglomerates Directive CHAPTER I: OBJECTIVE AND DEFINITIONS Article 1 Objective This Directive lays down rules for supplementary supervision of regulated entities which have obtained an authorization pursuant to Article 6 of Directive 73/239/EEC, Article 6 of Directive 79/267/EEC, Article 3(1) of Directive 93/22/EEC or Article 4 of Directive 2000/12/EC, and which are part of a financial conglomerate. It also amends the relevant sectoral rules which apply to entities regulated by the Directives referred to above. |
